Rider Waiver, Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous activity that carries a risk of serious injury, permanent disability and death.

 

By signing this waiver, I acknowledge and agree that:

 

• I participate in all activities at Exeter Bike Park entirely at my own risk.

•  

• I understand the risks associated with mountain biking, including falls, collisions, trail features, changing trail conditions, mechanical failures and rider error.

•  

• We reserve the right to cancel a session at any point, if a cancellation is made due extreme whether such as heat above 34 degrees, wind gusts above 40MPH, ice or another reason out of the bike parks control, customers will be offered either a coupon code or a alternative date which suits the customer. refunds will not be given.

•  

• I confirm that I am physically fit to participate and will not ride if I believe doing so would place myself or others at unreasonable risk.

•  

• Riders under 18 must have this waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian before riding.

•  

• I consent to Exeter Bike Park staff contacting emergency services and administering reasonable first aid if required.

•  

• I will ride within my own ability and experience level at all times.

•  

• II will inspect any trail or feature that I have not previously ridden, or that may have changed since my last ride, before attempting it. and follow the principle of Pre-Ride > Re-Ride > Freeride.

•  

• I understand that trail conditions can change without warning due to weather, maintenance work and rider use.

•  

• I acknowledge that newly built, repaired or resurfaced trails may contain loose soil, loose aggregates, soft edges, soft patches and unpredictable levels of grip whilst bedding in. I accept responsibility for assessing trail conditions before riding and adjusting my riding accordingly.

•  

• I confirm that my bicycle and equipment are suitable and in safe working condition.

• I will wear a properly fitted helmet whilst riding.

•  

• I will comply with all rules, signage and instructions issued by Exeter Bike Park staff.

•  

• I will not ride whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•  

• I understand that I am responsible for my own safety, actions, equipment and wellbeing whilst using the bike park.

•  

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Exeter Bike Park, its owners, employees, volunteers and representatives from liability for any injury, loss, damage or expense arising from my participation in activities at the bike park, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
